Solar Victoria

Solar Victoria provides rebates and interest-free loans for eligible households installing solar PV (and in some cases solar batteries). The exact amount and eligibility criteria change over time, so we always check the current rules when preparing your quote.

Typical support has included a rebate toward the cost of a solar system plus access to an interest-free loan for the remaining amount (subject to eligibility and available funding). We manage the application process so you don’t have to navigate the paperwork alone.

Who usually qualifies?

• Owner-occupiers of existing homes in Victoria
• Properties that meet the program’s income or property-value criteria (when applicable)
• Systems that meet Solar Victoria’s technical and installer requirements
• Installers that are authorised under the program (we are set up to deliver compliant work)

Victorian Energy Efficiency Certificates (VEECs)

VEECs are created under the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) program. They support energy-efficiency upgrades such as:

• Reverse-cycle heating and cooling (including ducted systems)
• Heat pump hot water systems
• Other eligible efficient appliances and upgrades

The value of VEECs is deducted from the cost of the upgrade, reducing what you pay. We include the expected VEEC benefit in quotes for heating, cooling and hot water so the net price is clear.

Stacking with federal STCs

Victorian support can usually sit alongside federal STCs. For a solar + efficient hot water or heating package, you may access both the federal certificate discount and the state rebate/loan or VEECs. We map the full stack for your project.
